Most of us will get Spams everyday. Some will get little and some will get a lot. This spam is undoubtedly one of the oldest internet tricks. Though the internet security community is stopping by putting the hoardings screaming not to touch those "Making Money for nothing" emails, we can safely assume and stop clicking these email spams.
So how does the spamming community survive and thrive when no one who is even tad bit tech savvy admits to doing business with them? Are they starving to death?
The answer is a Big NO. Studies have found that these spammers are making more money day by day. So how these spammers make money? The spammers are not at all interested whether you buy the wares of them or not. In fact, they will keep minting money even if you never click on the spam emails. How?
"They simply make money by selling the email addresses to other spammers, who then sell the same addresses to others and so on."(Says the security experts)
There has been recent study by Iron Port Systems, which says that "The spam volume currently stands at a whopping 98 billion/day worldwide. And it's growing at 12% month over month since June 2007".
The spammers make $10,000+ a week. Like mine for more they just sell them for money.
The study also confirms that replying to the spam will result in more spam. If you check right, the, most of the spammers wont reply for your requests about the product on their service. Thats because the email addresses are sold to the other spammers for money.
